Limited Warranty

QuipCast ("we", "us", "our") warrants the QuipCast Compass frame against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase. This is a limited warranty. It is offered to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

What is covered

During the warranty period, we will repair or replace, at our option, any QuipCast Compass frame that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. This covers the e-paper display, the internal electronics, the buttons, and the enclosure as shipped from QuipCast.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover cosmetic wear that does not affect function, damage from drops or impact, water or liquid damage, damage from misuse or accident, damage from unauthorized repair or modification, gradual battery capacity loss that is normal for rechargeable cells over time, or any device whose serial or pairing information has been removed or altered. It also does not cover loss of content, account data, or any indirect or consequential damages, to the extent the law allows that exclusion.

How to make a claim

Email hello@quipcast.app with your proof of purchase (an order confirmation or receipt) and a short description of the problem, along with one or two photos if the issue is visible. We will respond with next steps. If a return is needed, we will provide instructions. Please do not ship anything to us before you hear back.

Our remedies

If your claim is approved, your exclusive remedy is repair of the frame, replacement with a new or refurbished unit of equal value, or a refund of the purchase price, whichever we determine is appropriate. A repaired or replaced unit is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer.

Your rights under state law

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this warranty limits the rights you have under your state's implied warranty of merchantability or any other right that cannot be waived under applicable law. Some states, including California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Vermont, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia, do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of certain damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.
