Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. QuipCast LLC collects the minimum information needed to make your rotation better, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

What we collect

• Your email address (for sign-in via magic link)
• Your preferences as set by the onboarding wizard
• Which items have been shown on which frame (so you don't see the same thing too often)
• Your feedback (love / pass / save) on items
• Your BYO library content (only visible to your own frames, unless you choose to share it publicly as a Quipster)
• Device telemetry: battery level, WiFi signal strength, firmware version, last successful render

What we don't collect

• Audio. The frame has no microphone.
• Video. The frame has no camera.
• Any other sensors. The frame is a passive display with a battery and WiFi, and nothing else.
• Location, beyond a coarse timezone you set or we detect from your browser.
• Anything from third-party advertising networks (we don't use them).

How we use what we collect

To run your service. Specifically: to make better recommendations on your frame, to keep you signed in, to send you transactional emails about your account and device, and to investigate bugs.

Third-party processors

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for payment processing, Resend (or similar) for transactional email, and Vercel for application hosting. Each is GDPR-compliant. We do not run third-party analytics or trackers on the marketing site or the dashboard.

Where your data is stored

Primary infrastructure runs in U.S. and EU regions of major cloud providers. When you sign up from an EU/UK/CH region, your authentication and account data are processed in EU regions where available. International transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data, regardless of where you live. QuipCast LLC complies with GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), PIPEDA (Canada), the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia), the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand), and the PDPA (Singapore), as applicable to you. To exercise any of these rights, sign in to your dashboard and use the account settings, or write to privacy@quipcast.app. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on the marketing site. The dashboard uses a small number of functional cookies (preferences, CSRF, sign-in).

Children

QuipCast is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in EU/UK regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy materially, we'll email anyone with an active account and post a dated note at the top of this page.
